I create magical backdrops of floral, ocean landscapes, still life and imaginary portraits with classical atelier oil painting techniques used by European masters

Krisy Dennis is a classically trained oil painter from North Hollywood California. Her style can be described as both feminine and ethereal. Her paintings focus on beautiful floral backdrops, romantic portraits particularly of cats and women, kitchen still life, and ocean landscapes.

She is also a visual artist in interior design with a southern French flair, as well as a musical theater standard jazz singer and character actress.

About Me

Krisy Dennis has been drawing, painting and performing since childhood. Her father was a contemporary sculptor and artist as well as a jazz trumpet player. Her mother was a speech pathologist and her grand parent’s both actors.

She became an award winning drama student and moved to Los Angeles at 18 to pursue acting. An actress as well as a singer, she also studied classical voice, jazz interpretation and musical comedy as well as acting, performing in professional theatre and jazz cabaret throughout Los Angeles.

Her one woman musical “Ladies First” has been featured in solo festivals at Whitefire Theatre and Hollywood Fringe Festival. Art has always been an interest which led her to study at Atelier of Fine Art with Julia Diller.She currently resides in North Hollywood with her husband Harlan of 30 years and her 3 cats Logan, Lily and Ripley.
